Student Right-To-Know and Campus Security Act of 1990
Title II of Public Legislation 102-26, called the "Campus Crime Awareness and Campus Security Act of 1990," requires colleges and universities to distribute to all current students and employees and applicants for enrollment or employment, two types of information: (1) descriptions of policies relating to campus security; and (2) statistics concerning specific types of crimes. A description of these policies and statistics is given in this booklet.
Statistics, crime prevention tips, and general information on security topics are also published and distributed during the school year in the TODAY campus newspaper, although they may not appear in every issue. TODAY is published monthly by the office of University relations located in Burden Hall.
Reports are also made on a monthly basis to University administration via the office of the vice president for financial affairs and the University safety committee via the office of safety - risk management. Statistics and information contained in these reports may be obtained by contacting the department of security or the office of the vice president for financial affairs.
