Access after normal hours:
The Department of Security will admit a specific individual or group to a building and/or room after hours, on weekends and holidays only if the office receives written authorization from a department, no later than the last business day prior to the date the facilities are to be used. Authorization should be written for an individual or group by the person in charge of the room or area involved. Written authorization may be faxed to the Department of Security at extension 44821. The request should be signed by a dean, director, or department head.
Authorized person(s) must not allow unauthorized individuals to enter the room or area involved.
Building fire alarms:
The Department of Security is responsible for monitoring all campus wide fire alarms and intrusion alarms. Alarms are monitored 24 hours a day. When an alarm is received, an officer and the appropriate support agency personnel will be dispatched to investigate the cause of the alarm.
